Although we are not talking about just any area, as the province of Malaga is a very attractive destination for tourists in summer.
We will have some of the best beaches just a few kilometres away from us. I will also tell you that not only the coast of Malaga is great for a getaway. In the interior of the province we can find some extraordinary natural landscapes, such as the Sierra de las Nieves or the Serranía de Ronda.
Here you will find a short list of what we consider to be the best campsites in the province of Malaga, so stay tuned!
One of the closest to the Mediterranean and with its own beach. Imagine an unspoilt beach, with dark sand, surrounded only by crops, right in the centre of the Axarquia region. Imagine staying in a place with direct access to the sand and water of the Costa del Sol.
The Almayate costa campsite has different swimming pools, ideal for summer getaways. It also has a restaurant where you can enjoy typical dishes made with local products. Undoubtedly, one of the best campsites in the province of Malaga first class, also with sports courts, playgrounds and entertainment shows, between June and September, ideal for the little ones of the house.

Very close to Almayate Costa, we can find another place of great interest if we are looking for an attractive and luxurious campsite near the coast. Located in Torre del Mar, we can enjoy the Rio Velez, a perfect wetland for those of us who love an increasingly popular and acclaimed hobby, ornithology. To make it even better, right next to it is the famous Torre del Mar Beach, which is famous for its dogs, so you can cool off with them.
This campsite also has direct access to the beach, with 17 bungalows and more than 140 plots where you can sleep in luxury. Although the beach is just a few metres away, here you can also enjoy a swim in one of the wonderful pools, or take the little ones to the children’s playground. In summer there are different activities for the whole family, from Zumba or Aquagym classes to workshops for children.
Are you familiar with the beach of Almayate? It is a beach that belongs to Vélez Málaga. It is a beach of dark sand and very little gravel, ideal for walking along the shore or to go with the little ones of the family. It is located in an isolated area, not very urbanised, thus enhancing its charming landscape, being one of the best beaches in the province.
The campsite has a wide variety of services such as access to the beach, outdoor swimming pool, heated swimming pool, sauna, bicycle and vehicle rental for a route through the countryside, excursions and a host of services and activities.

I am sure you have yet to discover many beautiful landscapes on the Costa del Sol. Places of indescribable natural beauty, even those that are close to some urbanisations. This is what happens with the beach that gives its name to this campsite, Playa Cabopino, a spectacular beach, surrounded by dunes. A beach isolated from the tourist mass that is concentrated on the coast of Marbella. The calm, crystalline and shallow waters make it an idyllic paradise for anyone who visits it.
Right next to this beach is where you will find the best campsite in Malaga. At least, from our point of view and the opinion of the numerous users. The campsite has about 60 bungalows, almost nothing, isn’t it? As if that wasn’t enough, in the hottest months you can cool off in the swimming pools or do different activities with the family. And what makes this campsite different from the rest? It has its own adventure circuit, with a climbing wall and zip lines. A candidate for the best campsite on the Costa del Sol.
Camping Cabopino
Located in the interior of the province of Malaga, this campsite is within the municipality of Ronda. This small but impressive town will leave you speechless. Walking through the old part of the town is to discover a good part of the history of our beloved province, Andalusia. You will be able to prove me right when you visit the imposing Puente Nuevo or Puente del Tajo, more than 100 metres high over the Guadalevín river. The bridge is one of the most important and beautiful civil engineering works of the community, as well as its beautiful Arab baths or palaces like the one of the Moorish King or the one of Mondragón.
The campsite is located on the outskirts of Ronda, being this another of the best campsites in the province of Malaga. This impressive complex is located between holm oaks, almond trees and centenary olive trees. In addition, this campsite has numerous plots, with the possibility of resting in one of its cosy flats for 4 people. In the summer months, you can take a dip in the swimming pool, with the possibility of practising different sports such as table tennis or basketball. For the little ones, there is a children’s playground and a mini-golf. You will enjoy the surroundings so much that you are sure to come back!

Located on the outskirts of Estepona, we can find various tourist attractions for a holiday with the whole family. Here, we will find very sparsely populated beaches, such as the Playabella beach, where it will be the perfect place to relax. If you are travelling with children, there is another place you won’t want to miss, the Selwo Aventura nature park, a large park of more than 100 hectares where more than 2000 different species of animals live.
Less than a kilometre from the park is the Parque Tropical campsite, one of the best campsites in Malaga. This campsite has a large capacity for people, with 90 plots and 17 wonderful bungalows.
The facilities also include a barbecue area and swimming pools that can be enjoyed all year round.

Looking for an Andalusian mountain landscape, the Sierra de las Nieves comes to mind, being one of the most beautiful natural areas of the province. It is situated between Marbella and Ronda, and is home to more than half of the last Spanish fir forests on the European continent, with steep rock formations and very soft reddish mountains. It goes without saying that this campsite is made for mountain and speleology lovers, as it also has very deep caves, such as the GESM cave, which is more than a kilometre deep.
If we intend to visit this natural park for a few days, Camping Sierra de las Nieves is one of the best options. It is justified by its wide range of accommodation. Not only will we have camping area, the campsite offers us its hostel, bungalows of all types and cabins. In the same way, its facilities include swimming pools, football pitches and a sports complex. As if this were not enough, they offer different activities, including their well-known zip-line.
