During this time the city of Malaga offers a multitude of plans to enjoy with the family. One of the most demanded activities is the visit to the Nativity Scenes in Malaga.

Malaga at Christmas has more than fifty of these recreations, the cribs that can be found during this time in the city are made of various materials.

Malaga City Hall Nativity Scene

The Malaga City Council, as is already tradition, assembles every year a beautiful Bethlehem so that Malaga people and tourists can enjoy a Christmas performance.  A space that has 140 square meters and has sound effects, water and lighting and 5 new pieces incorporated this year.

This Bethlehem of Malaga is located in Cervantes Street, 4.

Opening hours: 10:00 to 14:00 hours and 17:00 to 21:00 hours.

Opening dates: 6 December to 6 January 2020.

Bethlehem of Malaga Cathedral

A Christmas classic in Malaga.  This representation has been carried out by the Nativity Scene Association of Malaga La Alcazaba.

An artistic Bethlehem that occupies 45 square meters.  It stands out because many of its figures are polychromed by hand.  A space that has required more than 35,000 hours of work, since last May, and has 200 figures, 150 animals and different buildings.  The Bethlehem of the Cathedral of Malaga this year shows the birth in everyday life of the Hebrew people.

Living Bethlehem of the Diocese of Malaga

A nativity scene in Malaga that has become a tradition, this year is the fifth edition. Visitors will be able to see 5 scenes with the most important moments of Christmas: the Incarnation, the Presentation, the search for the inn, the Nativity and the adoration of the Magi of the East and the shepherds in the portal.

On the day of their inauguration, they usually make a great paella and food at popular prices with some activities for visitors.

The scenes are located in different places of the Diocesan House, and 140 students act in it. Last Christmas, 4,000 people from Malaga visited this living nativity scene in the capital.

This crib of Malaga is located in the Diocesan House of Malaga, Pasaje de Los Almendrales, 2-4.

Opening hours: From 11 am to 6 pm.

Opening dates: 16 and 17 December.

Playmobil Solidarity Nativity Scene of the Merchant Association

If you have small children at home, this is probably the Christmas crib they like the most. Composed entirely of Playmobil figures.

Besides, this space has a photocall and some more surprises. The price of the visit of this crib in Malaga is € 1 per person and the proceeds will go to help those affected by the ICTUS in Malaga.

The Bethlehem Playmobil of Malaga is located in the Parque Commercial Málaga Nostrum.

Opening hours: From 11 to 13:00 hours and 15 to 20:00 hours.

The Bethlehem of the Archconfraternity of El Paso y Esperanza

A crib that receives many visitors during the Christmas season. A recreation of Neapolitan style that has managed to distinguish among the many cribs that are mounted during Christmas in Malaga.

The Bethlehem of the Archconfraternity of El Paso y Esperanza is located in Calle Hilera, 2.

Opening hours: From 10 am to 2 pm and from 5 pm to 8 pm.

Opening dates: From 6 December to 6 January.

Christmas Nativity Scene Carmen Thyssen Museum Málaga

The Carmen Thyssen Museum in Malaga celebrates Christmas with different activities, including a Neapolitan nativity scene. One more year, the Archicofradía de Los Dolores de San Juan has been in charge of the installation of this recreation in the Patio de Columnas of the Museum.

In addition to offering a beautiful crib in Malaga, I also have scheduled throughout December different activities for children.
